Matthew Stafford’s mysterious back injury
Stafford’s lingering back issue has officially become a concern for fantasy managers. Jimmy Garoppolo dealt with a tough situation in Las Vegas two seasons ago, but he’s a big question mark at this stage of his career outside of Kyle Shanahan. Of course, Sean McVay is an offensive genius as well, and Garoppolo does own a career 8.2 YPA. But it’s also worth noting Garoppolo struggles mightily to stay on the field.
Puka Nacua is the WR6 in Fantasy Pros’ combined ADP, while Davante Adams is the WR18, and Kyren Williams is the RB12. Fantasy managers can’t feel great about spending such early picks if there’s a real chance Jimmy G and/or Stetson Bennett will be heavily involved. Nacua has No. 1 overall fantasy player upside if health cooperates, but I’ve moved him to my WR8 given the uncertainty, sliding Drake London ahead. I now have Marvin Harrison Jr., Tetairoa McMillan and Xavier Worthy over Adams. Reasonable minds disagree.
