• Tony Pollard had 77 rush yards and two touchdowns over Tennessee’s first two drives Sunday. He had 16 carries for a season-high 92 yards at halftime before adding a third TD afterward. Pollard finished as fantasy’s RB1 this week, outscoring the RB2 by a whopping 35%. Pollard entered with one touchdown on the season, and Cleveland had allowed the second fewest RB fantasy points.
• Quinshon Judkins was fantasy’s RB3 this week, although he saw just one target during Dylan Sampson’s return.
• KC Concepcion recorded all his production in the first half (9-8-129), seeing just one target in the second. Still, it was a breakout performance by the rookie.
• Jaylen Warren might be the most underrated back in football, and the Steelers are hurting their chances of succeeding every touch they give Rico Dowdle.
• Tyler Shough tossed his first red-zone interception of his career, and the QB somehow led the Saints with seven rushing yards.
• The Vikings have a rough offense for a team that’s 6-0, and J.J. McCarthy has looked better than Kyler Murray during limited samples this year. Murray doesn’t appear to be the answer in Minnesota (or anywhere else).
• Jonathan Taylor’s fantasy managers are hoping for a trade, which would make Seth McGowan a fantasy starter as well.
• Bijan Robinson hasn’t scored over the last three weeks, but Drake London hit paydirt for the first time this season.
• Sunday marked Atlanta’s first win at home this year.
• Christian McCaffrey had 74 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in the first quarter but suffered a thigh injury and saw sporadic touches afterward. Rookie Kaelon Black lost a fumble but got 5.3 YPC and scored while leading San Francisco in carries. CMC has an upcoming bye to heal, but Black proved he has real fantasy upside should he get another opportunity.
• Jordan Watkins emerged as San Francisco’s top wide receiver with Mike Evans (among many others) sidelined this week, when he had a touchdown overturned.
• George Kittle led San Francisco with 10 targets but lost a fumble to end the game.
• The 49ers entered with six turnovers in six games this season but committed four Sunday.
• Ollie Gordon continues to impress and should be treated as a top 15 fantasy back rest of season.
• Malik Willis played well and revealed his potential to rack up fantasy points.
• Caleb Douglas scored twice and made a 63-yarder seem easy.
• Garrett Wilson saw zero targets in the first half during a quiet performance, as rookie Omar Cooper Jr. led the Jets’ WR group despite the return of Adonai Mitchell.
• Tampa Bay nearly scored as many points (43) as they had passing yards (64) during a blowout win in Carolina. The Buccaneers had 33 plays in their opponents’ territory before the Panthers had one.
• Baker Mayfield had 11 drop backs, and the team had 49 rush attempts. Mayfield’s thumb injury wasn’t a factor.
• Bucky Irving had 11 touches during Tampa Bay’s first drive and was fantasy’s RB2 during a dominant performance this week. Irving scored two extremely rare touchdowns at the goal-line while Sean Tucker slipped during an early opportunity, which could be huge news moving forward.
• Chuba Hubbard was game-scripted this week, while Jalen Coker was a surprise bust.
• Tee Higgins was fantasy’s WR2 despite recording zero catches in the first half.
• Chase Brown got banged up and lost a goal-line score to Samaje Perine, as he continues to massively disappoint fantasy managers.
• The Bengals were losing 13-0 at halftime but outscored the Ravens 35-0 after.
• Zay Flowers was Baltimore’s lone bright spot; hopefully Lamar Jackson is back for a matchup in Buffalo in Week 8.
• J.J. McCarthy didn’t post a big fantasy line as four others ran in scores for the Giants, but he impressed yet again (+8.0% CPOE) in a tough environment. McCarthy’s potential fantasy value took a hit when Jameis Winston replaced him to punch in a tush push touchdown, but fantasy managers of Malik Nabers must be thrilled with the QB’s performance.
• Nabers saw most of his production in the first half (5-4-94) during his fourth straight 100-yard game.
• Malachi Fields isn’t in a great spot for fantasy production during his rookie year, but he was clearly a good draft pick by New York and has a bright future in the league.
• Cam Skattebo’s stats were boosted by a Tyrone Tracy Jr. injury and a 42-yard run in overtime, but he once again looks like New York’s lead back, barring health.
• C.J. Stroud struggled while Nico Collins was nowhere to be found Sunday.
• Woody Marks disappointed but saw all 20 RB opportunities for Houston.
• Bo Nix was fantasy’s QB3 this week thanks in large part to a nice 62-yard TD run.
• Jonah Coleman led Denver with nine carries during his return, but J.K. Dobbins punched in a goal-line score, while R.J. Harvey led all Broncos in receiving.
• Trey McBride remains a beast, but Michael Wilson continues to disappoint since Marvin Harrison Jr. left.
• You probably didn’t hear about it, but Sunday was National Tight Ends Day.
• Puka Nacua played through his calf injury, while Blake Corum and Kyren Williams split work evenly. Corum was a top 20 fantasy back this week despite having a 58-yard TD run nullified by penalty.
• Ashton Jeanty had another rough game rushing (1.9 YPC) but secured all eight targets for 61 receiving yards and a score to save his fantasy value. Jeanty has gotten 3.1 YPC this season, while rookie Mike Washington Jr. has gotten 4.9.
• The Raiders have lost four straight after starting the year 3-0.
• Amon-Ra St. Brown had 135 receiving yards by halftime, and Jared Goff lost a fumble after entering as the first quarterback in NFL history to record at least 12 TD passes with zero turnovers over his first five games.
• Jahmyr Gibbs looked like he might’ve tweaked his ankle while voluntarily giving up a touchdown toward the end of the game.
• Josh Jacobs didn’t help Green Bay’s dormant run game (3.3 YPC), but he made a major impact as a receiver (7-5-55-1) while finishing as fantasy’s RB7 during his return. Jacobs will be ranked as an RB1 against Carolina in Week 8.
• Christian Watson and Matthew Golden were big disappointments this week given the matchup, as Golden produced an anemic 3.3 yards per target in a highly favorable setup.
• Trey Smack missed two field goals inside 35 yards Sunday, which is twice as many as the rest of the league has combined this season. Matt LaFleur must’ve been high on Smack when he drafted the kicker in the sixth round.
