• Kenneth Walker was fantasy’s RB1 this week, and he’s on pace to rush for 2,261 yards this season, which would break the NFL record by 156 yards. Walker has finished as a top three fantasy back during four of five weeks this season, and he was the RB7 during the other. Kansas City’s offense continues to center around K9, especially with Rashee Rice out (Travis Kelce also suffered an ankle sprain Sunday). Walker is carrying fantasy teams.
• Xavier Worthy was the biggest beneficiary of Rice’s absence, although Patrick Mahomes failed to throw a touchdown after recording multiple during each of his first four games.
• Justin Herbert had a bad interception erased thanks to a shaky roughing the passer penalty, but he threw an even worse pick later the same drive. He’s dealing with a depleted WR group (that includes losing Ladd McConkey to a concussion Sunday) and offensive line, but Herbert has been one of the league’s most disappointing players in 2026. He was wildly inaccurate, and Herbert has tossed the most interceptions in the NFL this season. Mike McDaniel is likely gone this week (for Adam Gase?!).
• C.J. Stroud continues to play extremely well, and he’s finally doing so while on the road this year.
• The Jaguars were the first team since the merger not to allow an opposing player to rush for 40 yards in the first five games of a season, but both Woody Marks and Jawhar Jordan reached that mark Sunday.
• Bhayshul Tuten caught two touchdowns in the first half and had a potential third at the goal line nullified by a shaky holding penalty. He was also tackled at the one-yard line in the third quarter. Tuten was due for touchdowns, but it’s ironic they came during a game he experienced far worse usage than usual.
• Travis Hunter saw a season-high in offensive snaps, caught his second career TD (both in London) and recorded the first interception against Stroud this year. Meanwhile, Brian Thomas Jr. logged zero snaps in the second half and should only be stashed in fantasy leagues to see where he lands in an inevitable upcoming trade.
• Caleb Williams was terrific during his return, although his fantasy value took a hit thanks to three rushing scores by his running backs (and that includes Roschon Johnson actively giving up a sure TD run late to run out the clock).
• The windows to buy-low on Colston Loveland and Luther Burden are likely closed now. Loveland was close to scoring multiple touchdowns Sunday.
• The Bears entered last in the NFL in red-zone conversion rate but scored a touchdown during all four RZ trips Sunday (before kneeling to end the game).
• Bijan Robinson was killed by a game-script that saw Atlanta have less than 20 minutes of possession.
• Tyler Shough was fantasy’s QB2 this week while getting just 4.8 YPA, as it’s surprising how little Kellen Moore uses play action.
• Cam Skattebo was punished for last week’s lost fumble in overtime, playing just six snaps and finishing with zero touches. He watched Tyrone Tracy Jr. score twice and become fantasy’s RB7 this week on just eight touches.
• J.J. McCarthy threw an ugly pick immediately after replacing an ineffective Jameis Winston, but he otherwise impressed while also leading the Giants in rushing. It was a favorable matchup with New York in comeback mode, but fantasy managers of Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely must be encouraged by McCarthy’s performance Sunday. There’s a good chance he’s the team’s starter moving forward.
• Nabers and Likely each led their positions in fantasy scoring this week entering Sunday night football.
• Jalen Coker led Carolina with 13 targets coming out of the Panthers’ bye, and Bryce Young looks capable of providing fantasy value for multiple pass catchers this season.
• Tanner McKee struggled, but at least he peppered DeVonta Smith with 14 targets during the wideout’s return. The safe bet is Jalen Hurts doesn’t play again in 2026. It’s looking increasingly like a lost season in Philadelphia.
• Rookie Germie Bernard lived up to the sleeper hype, as he and DK Metcalf both recorded 11 catches while finishing as top 10 fantasy wide receivers this week.
• Emeka Egbuka’s 16 targets tied Jaxon Smith-Njigba for the league-lead this week.
• Drake Maye posted a 1:6 TD:INT ratio over his first three games, but he’s recorded a 10:1 rate (with a TD run) over three games since.
• A.J. Brown committed multiple drops during a rusty return. Maye gained 27 yards during 10 targets to AJB; he threw for 208 yards on 22 attempts to everyone else.
• TreVeyon Henderson wasn’t immediately punished after losing a rare fumble, but New England used a three-headed backfield (Corey Kiner joined Rhamondre Stevenson).
• There’s no chance Breece Hall returns to a full workload; Braelon Allen has been way too good not to get touches moving forward.
• Geno Smith led the NFL in interceptions last season but was picked off Sunday for the first time in 2026.
• Omar Cooper Jr. broke out during his first action since Week 1, finishing as fantasy’s WR5 on benches and waiver wires.
• Cam Ward tossed a second-quarter interception that was easier to pull down than most fair catches. His CPOE (-20.1%) was in the second percentile.
• Josh Downs suffered multiple drops and disappointed yet again despite Tyler Warren sitting. In Downs’ defense, Danny Dogecoin has been awful.
• Denzel Boston, K.C. Concepcion and Harold Fannin Jr. combined for zero catches in the first half. Fannin looks increasingly like a fantasy bust.
• Ja’Kobi Lane is a strong stash for when Lamar Jackson returns.
• James Cook ran in a score for the fifth straight game, while Keon Coleman continues to look like one of the most improved receivers in the league.
• Kirk Cousins’ stats benefitted from a late 40+ yard TD pass with Las Vegas down double digits, and it’s unclear if Ashton Jeanty is either greatly slowed by his ankle injuries or the new Trent Richardson. Jeanty has averaged 3.2 YPC this season.
• Jim Nantz may have broken his wrist/hand live on air. Bring back Tony Romo!
• Bam Knight outplayed Tyler Allgeier with Jeremiyah Love inactive, while the Rams’ defense continues to be incredibly stingy against pass catchers.
• While newcomer Blake Grupe left early with a knee injury, Chad Ryland’s sixth field goal of the day was a game-winner as time expired.
• Matthew Stafford missed Puka Nacua on a potential 65-yard touchdown in the third quarter as Los Angeles suffered the biggest upset of the season.
• Davante Adams was hobbled by a non-contact leg injury late in the game.
