I recently completed an NFFC Online Championship draft ($300K overall prize) despite the NFL draft having yet occurred. Moreover, ADP was less than reliable given it was based off Best Ball drafts, which this format is decidedly not. Here are the results of a (slow) draft held irresponsibly early:

(1.6) Jonathan Taylor – It was extremely tough passing on Christian McCaffrey, especially in a PPR format. Ultimately, I faded CMC coming off 450 touches and went with Taylor, who was on a historic pace (27.4 PPR fantasy points per game) through 10 weeks last season before Daniel Jones suffered a broken leg.
(2.7) Kenneth Walker – Rashee Rice jumped his previous ADP thanks to recent news he won’t be suspended by the NFL. I went with new teammate Walker with Chase Brown a close debate. I’ll be drafting running backs early in 2026, and Walker has massive fantasy upside now in Kansas City.
(3.7) Garrett Wilson – Travis Etienne would’ve been a consideration, but he went one pick before me thanks to NFFC’s third-round reversal. It was time to address wide receiver, and I already regret passing on AJ Brown with him looking increasingly likelier to play for New England since this slow draft started. Still, I’m high on Wilson this season, as Geno Smith should be an upgrade; his performance in Las Vegas was clearly hurt by coaching malpractice.
