For me, postseason best ball drafting has proven to be the perfect off-ramp from the fantasy season. I could not simply quit fantasy football abruptly after Week 17.

I love a live draft, but my attention span is short and I am relatively cheap. Thus, these four-person best ball drafts at DK have been irresistible. If you're looking for a fun way to set $5 on fire, I highly recommend them. From sign-up to final pick, they only last like 15 minutes. Just a perfect mid-day time-waster.

As mentioned last week, roster building for these contests requires you to both build a team that can win immediately — only one manager in each pool advances to the next round — while also assembling a squad with the potential to field a full lineup in the Super Bowl. For example, here's a Seahawks-Patriots roster that I put together on DK on Thursday morning:

It's probably dead on arrival, yes. That's how these contests work. Still, it would be a fine looking squad if Seattle and New England were to actually survive the next two rounds. Cook and Odunze are on board to help the lineup advance to next week. (Also, in my NE-SEA scenario, each of them is capable of giving me two games.)

I have been unsuccessful in attempts to construct a potent Rams-Bills roster — too many of the key pieces land inside the overall top-8 — but any other combo is easily achievable.

Again, playoff drafts are a wonderful distraction, unlikely to cause financial hardship. If you're into such things, here's a set of Divisional Round ranks for your consideration...
