Quarterbacks
Matthew Stafford ($7.0K) vs. Detroit Lions
Stafford finished as fantasy’s QB5 last week despite not attempting a pass in the fourth quarter. He’s thrown multiple touchdowns in seven straight games, when he’s recorded a 23:2 TD:INT ratio. Stafford has gotten 8.0 YPA with a 16:0 TD:INT over six home games this season, and he gets a pass-funnel matchup Sunday; the Lions have allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs but the fifth most to quarterbacks. The Rams have by far the league’s highest projected point total (31.5) this week, and Detroit has yielded only two touchdowns to running backs since Week 4. Stafford will be part of many stacks this week.
Jared Goff ($6.1K) @ Los Angeles Rams
Goff is indoors in a matchup with one of the highest totals (55.5 points) of the year. Los Angeles has allowed the third fewest RB fantasy points this season, so passing should be voluminous during Sunday’s shootout. Goff got 9.1 YPA and threw for 300+ yards last week, but his running backs stole four rushing touchdowns. Goff could be popular to pair with Amon-Ra St. Brown and/or Jameson Williams while cheaper than Stafford.
Jaxson Dart ($5.6K) vs. Washington Commanders
Dart had zero designed runs in Week 13 before the Giants bye for the first game this season. The rookie’s fantasy value takes a hit as New York tries to protect its quarterback more, but Dart still scrambled four times and remains a value in DFS. Dart has been fantasy’s QB3 in points per game since starting in Week 4, and he gets a favorable home matchup Sunday. Washington has yielded the sixth most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to QBs over the last five weeks, and the Giants own one of their highest team totals (24.5 points) of the season.
Others: Joe Burrow ($6.6K), Lamar Jackson ($6.4K), C.J. Stroud ($5.2K)
Running Backs
Saquon Barkley ($7.1K) vs. Las Vegas Raiders
Barkley showed juice during a big game Monday night, and Lane Johnson may return this week. Barkley’s 482 touches last year have probably sapped some explosiveness this season, but his dramatic drop in long runs has also been due to randomness. The Raiders have ceded the eighth most schedule-adjusted RB fantasy points over the last five weeks, and Philadelphia is 11.5-point favorites.
Travis Etienne Jr. ($6.5K) vs. New York Jets
Etienne had two touchdown runs over the first 17 minutes last week, and he then saw every backfield carry and 13-of-14 RB opportunities after Bhayshul Tuten lost a fumble. The rookie may not be fully benched again this week, but Etienne should see a big workload Sunday in a highly favorable matchup. The Jets have been getting gashed against the run since trading away Quinnen Williams, including allowing a whopping 10 touchdowns to running backs over the last four games. The Jaguars sport a healthy team total (27.5 points) and are 12.5-point favorites, so Etienne’s setup is strong this week.
Woody Marks ($5.6K) vs. Arizona Cardinals
Marks took over Houston’s backfield with Nick Chubb suffering an early injury last week, seeing 87% of the designed carries and 89% of the snaps. Marks could’ve easily had two touchdowns, but he sat out one play after getting banged up and lost a short score to Dare Ogunbowale during his lone carry. Marks returned and should be good to go Sunday against an Arizona defense allowing the most schedule-adjusted RB rushing fantasy points over the last five weeks. The Texans are near double-digit favorites thanks to their league-best defense, so game-script should be positive for Marks.
Others: Christian McCaffrey ($9.0K), Kenneth Walker ($5.6K), Devin Neal ($5.3K)
Wide Receivers
Ja’Marr Chase ($8.1K) vs. Baltimore Ravens
Chase took a backseat to Tee Higgins while frequently shadowed by Christian Benford last week. However, Higgins could use time off after reentering concussion protocol. Frankly, it was malpractice to allow him back in last week’s game. Joe Burrow is playing terrific, and Chase is due for a big game with two duds over his last three. He saw 14 targets when these teams met two weeks ago, and Chase has averaged 30.8 DK fantasy points at home this year (compared to 12.0 on the road). The Ravens have allowed the seventh most schedule-adjusted WR fantasy points over the last five weeks, so Chase is worth paying up for.
Davante Adams ($7.2K) vs. Detroit Lions
Adams is coming off his lowest scoring fantasy game of the year, but he had totaled 11 touchdowns over his previous six games. Adams’ yardage output hasn’t been anything special, but he’s been used as if he’s a running back inside the red zone. Adams’ 25 end-zone targets are 10 more than any other wide receiver (Puka Nacua has four!). All 14 of Adams’ touchdowns have been caught in the end zone this season. He gets a pass-funnel Detroit defense allowing the second most schedule-adjusted WR fantasy points over the last five weeks. Adams is in a bounce back spot.
Terry McLaurin ($5.4K) @ New York Giants
McLaurin was quiet after an early 28-yard catch last week, but he was facing a Minnesota defense ceding the fewest schedule-adjusted WR points over the last five weeks. McLaurin looks good, and he was again treated as Washington’s WR1 during the team’s shutout loss. The Giants have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to wide receivers this season, and McLaurin will be a DFS target regardless of who starts at quarterback for the Commanders.
Others: Puka Nacua ($8.7K), Amon-Ra St. Brown ($7.9K), Nico Collins ($6.7K), Michael Wilson ($6.6K), Jameson Williams ($6.1K), Jack Bech ($3.2K)
Tight Ends
Colby Parkinson ($3.2K) vs. Detroit Lions
Parkinson ranks third in the NFL in red-zone targets (11) among all pass catchers over the last six weeks. He was the TE4 in usage last week, as Parkinson has benefitted from Tyler Higbee on IR. Stafford is on an epic heater and loves throwing to tight ends; Parkinson is seeing designed screens in the RZ. The Rams get a pass-funnel Lions’ defense allowing the third fewest EPA/rush this season. Harold Fannin Jr. is intriguing in DFS this week, but Parkinson is a sneaky option to save salary.
Others: George Kittle ($5.4K), Harold Fannin Jr. ($4.0K), Mark Andrews ($3.9K), Isaiah Likely ($3.4K)
