Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Week 13: Adds to help you avoid the consolation bracket

Every NFL team is in the pool during Thanksgiving week, so this is as good as your roster is gonna look until we reach the playoffs. It’s entirely possible you won’t need to dive deep into this week’s waiver situation. If so, congrats.

For the rest of you, we’re pleased to offer a collection of playable fantasy options, all available in a majority of leagues and approved for immediate use.

RUNNING BACKS

Chris Rodriguez, Washington Commanders

30% rostered at Sleeper

Rodriguez consolidated power in Washington’s backfield ahead of his team’s bye, gaining 85 yards on 16 touches against Miami while relegating Jacory Croskey-Merritt to a supporting role. He actually claimed lead back responsibilities three weeks ago, yet he remains curiously available — likely a reflection of our stubborn belief in Bill.

At this point, it should be clear to all that Rodriguez occupies the top spot on the Commanders’ depth chart at RB. He’s not excessively flashy, but he’s a 225-pound hammer who runs with authority.

Washington will face the Giants in Week 15 and the Cowboys in Championship Week, so a path exists for Rodriguez to deliver a legendary (or at least helpful) run through the fantasy playoffs. He’s a priority at our game’s most important position.

FAAB: 26%

Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints

9% rostered

Alvin Kamara entered the week with an ankle injury and he exited with a knee issue in the first half against Atlanta. Neal definitely impressed in the vet’s absence, gaining 61 yards on a dozen touches, with five receptions included.

He was already seeing steady receiving volume with Kamara in the mix and he’s likely headed for a beefier workload in the weeks ahead. Neal has prototypical featured back size, but, like every skill player on this eternally weird team, he will be required to pay tribute to Taysom Hill, ceding some portion of his snaps and touches.

Nevertheless, Neal could be headed for a substantial role this week in a favorable matchup at Miami.
