Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Week 11: Priority adds for the playoff push

Honestly, all things considered, the week ahead isn’t terrible. We have just two teams on bye, only one of which has been helpful (Indy). We can deal with Week 11.

As usual, the waiver wire is full of curiosities and delights. Today we offer a collection of playable fantasy options, all available in a majority (or near-majority) of leagues and approved for use.

QUARTERBACKS

Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers

46% rostered at Sleeper

Rodgers definitely looked like an older gentleman on Sunday night, perplexed and creaky and uncomfortable. He threw two picks, one of which was particularly gross. Not a great night in prime-time.

But as a legendary coach once said, we’re onto Cincinnati. This week, the Steelers are hosting the Bengals, the league’s most beatable defense. When Rodgers last faced Cincy back in Week 7, he delivered 249 passing yards and four touchdowns (all of which went to his tight ends) as the teams combined for 64 total points. The Bengals pass defense has of course been among the most generous in the NFL, having allowed 23 scores and 260.0 yards per game.

We can’t guarantee another four-TD performance from Rodgers, but he should be good for multiple scores. Rodgers is the clear streaming priority at QB this week, unless Joe Flacco (53% rostered) happens to be available.

FAAB: 4%

Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders

26% rostered

Washington was absolutely trucked by Detroit on Sunday, but the fantasy points count just the same. Mariota finished with 213 passing yards and two scores, adding another 22 yards on the ground. He exited early from a not-at-all-competitive contest, depriving us of additional empty stats. Mariota’s rushing ability is well known and he’s now heading to Miami for a matchup with a defense that’s been cooked by basically everyone (except Josh Allen, weirdly). He’s the sort of deep league streaming option who can fill a doomed fantasy team with false hope.
