Atlanta Falcons @ Indianapolis Colts (Berlin)
• Jonathan Taylor scored three touchdowns for the fifth time this season, including a walk off score in overtime and an incredible 83-yard TD run. It was the longest rush of Taylor’s career and the longest run of the NFL season. Taylor fumbled during the game’s opening drive (he didn’t lose it) but finished with an NFL season-high 244 rushing yards that was the 18th most all time. It was easily the most fantasy points scored in any game this year.
Taylor has two more yards than Saquon Barkley had through 10 games last season and is on pace to score 29 touchdowns. The battle between two of the league’s best fantasy backs was a knockout Sunday.
• Daniel Jones was shaky while throwing an interception, taking seven sacks and committing three fumbles (losing one) one week after suffering five turnovers. Jones has been brought down for 15 sacks over the last three weeks after taking just six over the first seven contests.
• Alec Pierce’s route tree continues to grow, and his emergence is bad news for Josh Downs and Michael Pittman’s fantasy value. Pierce leads the Colts in targets and receiving yards over Indy’s last four games.
• Bijan Robinson was held to a season-low four receiving yards on just two targets, and he lost two goal-line touchdowns to Tyler Allgeier. Robinson has five carries inside the five-yard line this season compared to 13 for Allgeier. There are 44 other RBs with a higher i10 carry share than Robinson, who hasn’t scored a rushing TD since Week 6. It’s not ideal.
• Drake London finished as fantasy’s WR1 for the second straight week, as he was able to avoid Sauce Gardner while frequently moving to the slot. London caught a TD and added a two-point conversion (with Gardner on him). He had another big fantasy game despite playing outdoors, with Darnell Mooney active and Michael Penix posting a -16.3 completion percentage over expected in the fifth percentile. Love the Drake.
• Kyle Pitts dropped a pass on Atlanta’s opening drive that might have gone for a 56-yard touchdown. Penix was then late on a throw to an open Pitts for a potential 25-yard TD during the opening drive of the second half.
New York Giants @ Chicago Bears
• Caleb Williams dealt with multiple drops and tough weather conditions. He took zero sacks and played better than his passing stats may indicate. Williams ran for a season-high 63 yards, including the game-winning touchdown. Williams was fantasy’s QB4 this week while engineering his fourth game-winning drive this season.
• D’Andre Swift saw 21 opportunities compared to eight for Kyle Monangai. The backs split two goal-to-go carries, with Monangai punching his in for a score. Swift converted an angry fourth down run and saw a season-high 22.2% target share; he’s the clear preferred fantasy back in Chicago. But a highly favorable schedule is about to take a 180 moving forward.
• Rome Odunze bounced back with a team-leading 10 targets and was a top 10 fantasy WR this week, while Colston Loveland looks the part.
• Jaxson Dart had 199 passing yards (9.0 YPA) with a TD run at halftime, and then he ran in a second score during the opening drive of the second half. Unfortunately, Dart left concussed the next drive during a play he also lost a fumble. Dart is up to seven rushing scores over seven games, and he finished as fantasy’s QB3 this week despite leaving midway through the third quarter.
• Tyrone Tracy Jr. led New York in carries, but Devin Singletary was far more productive as a receiver and was given all the goal-line work. Tracy has zero carries inside the five-yard line this season, and Singletary was tackled at the one-yard line multiple times Sunday.
• Darius Slayton accounted for 85 of Dart’s 107 yards with 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter, but the WR managed just four yards over the rest of the game. Slayton pulled down a miraculous one-handed grab in tough conditions and looked great when on the field, but he missed snaps after appearing to aggravate his hamstring injury. Dart’s early exit didn’t help matters either.
• Brian Daboll has found New York’s franchise quarterback and has injury excuses for this season. This offense will be a problem in the future when healthy. There’s an argument to keep Daboll despite Giants’ fans and media calling for his firing. That said, he made a highly questionable decision declining a penalty while kicking a FG from the one-yard line with 10:12 left, as Greg Olsen eloquently explained.
The Giants traded three points for 35.5 yards of possession and the ball. The new rules have dictated different play calling in the red zone in 2025. Or at least they should be! On a related note, New York somehow fell to 0-4 when leading by 10+ points on the road this season. The Giants haven’t won away from home in more than a year.
• This was the first game this season with more than two turnover on downs in the first half, with these teams combining for four (and finishing with the most in a game (six) in 25 years).
