Quarterback Starts
Jaxson Dart @ Chicago Bears
Dart has been fantasy’s QB5 since taking over six games ago, when he’s rushed for the third most touchdowns (five) in the NFL. He owns the league’s third highest QB designed rush rate (13%) and faces a Bears’ defense allowing the sixth most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to quarterbacks. Chicago has been gashed for an NFL-high 6.4 yards per play this season; no defense allowed more than 6.0 over 2022 and 2023. Dart is my QB6 this week.
Matthew Stafford @ San Francisco 49ers
Stafford has a 16:0 TD:INT ratio over his last five games and has already thrown as many passing TDs (20) as he had all last season. A decimated 49ers’ defense has given up the fifth most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to QBs over the last five weeks. San Francisco sports the NFL’s lowest pressure rate (10%) over the last month. Puka Nacua should be good to go, and the Rams have the league’s third highest implied team total (27.5 points). This game will be fast-paced with the 49ers forced to throw more than usual. Stafford is my QB10 this week, ahead of Daniel Jones.
Sam Darnold vs. Arizona Cardinals
Darnold is a dark horse MVP candidate while getting 9.6 YPA on a Seattle team that could finish toward the top of the NFC. He’s been the league’s best deep thrower this season and now gets Rashid Shaheed as an added weapon downfield. Shaheed owns the fifth best YPRR (3.91) during play action passes, which Seattle uses at one of the league’s highest rates. Darnold is my QB13 this week, ahead of Jordan Love.
