This week, your fantasy football matchup is gonna be an ugly, old school, down-in-the-mud affair. If the final score is something like 77.5 to 68.7, please don't be alarmed. We have a season-high six teams on bye, which has resulted in several unfortunate names making their way into the ranks. Unfortunately, this week we will be without the overall WR1, WR3, WR5, WR7, WR11, RB4, RB9, RB12, QB7 and TE3. Just brutal. A messy week, no doubt.
But hey, someone still has to win your matchup. It might as well be you.
Keep an eye on your league's free agent pool after the initial waiver run this week, by the way. With six teams out of the mix and several fantasy managers in must-win mode, there are going to be a few notable drops. In all likelihood, the second wave of pickups this week might have more rest-of-season utility than the first.
