DFS Week 7: Stacking Cowboys & Commanders

It’s a thinner DFS slate with no Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ja’Marr Chase, Josh Allen and James Cook among many others, and it’s also missing a Lions/Bucs matchup with the week’s second highest total (53.5 points). Cowboys vs. Commanders has an even bigger over/under at 54.5 points and looks like the obvious matchup to target/stack in DFS. Can Rico Dowdle break the slate for the third straight week? 

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes ($7.0K) vs. Las Vegas Raiders 

Mahomes leads the league in air yards and red zone pass attempts while ranking third in QB rushing yards, which is a great combo to rack up fantasy stats. He’ll be getting Rashee Rice back this week against a Raiders’ team whose opponents own the second highest neutral pass rate. Kansas City leads the NFL in pass rate over expected by a wide margin over the last month, and the Chiefs have the highest implied team total (29.5 points) on the slate. Mahomes suddenly looks like the MVP favorite.

Jayden Daniels ($6.9K) @ Dallas Cowboys

Daniels has been running as much as ever while playing with a knee brace, and more volume should be there during Sunday’s indoor matchup. Dallas has allowed NFL-highs in YPA (8.3) and TD passes (15) while being gashed for the most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to quarterbacks. Daniels is tied with Jaxson Dart for the league’s highest scramble rate (13%), and Washington lacks trust in its running backs after another lost fumble Monday night. Daniels could also get Terry McLaurin back this week. 

Dak Prescott ($6.5K) vs. Washington Commanders 

Prescott has a 10:0 TD:INT ratio over the last three weeks (with a rushing score), and he may get CeeDee Lamb back. Prescott has averaged 340.0 passing yards and has produced six touchdowns over two games at home this season. The Commanders have surrendered the eighth most schedule-adjusted QB fantasy points and rank toward the bottom of the league in pressure rate. This matchup has the highest total (54.5 points) of the week and will be chalk in DFS.
