Week 6 Game Recaps: Rico Dowdle breaks the slate again

Dallas Cowboys @ Carolina Panthers

• Rico Dowdle broke the slate for the second straight week. He’s recorded exactly 97 yards from scrimmage over the first half of both games, finishing with an NFL-high 239 on Sunday. He caught a 36-yard touchdown and gained 122 rushing yards after contact during his revenge game. Dowdle has unquestionably replaced even a healthy Chuba Hubbard as Carolina’s RB1, as he became the first player with more than 200 yards from scrimmage in back-to-back games since 2020. There’s only been one other 200-yard game all season. Unreal.

• Dak Prescott has a 10:0 TD:INT ratio over the last three weeks (with a rushing score), when he’s been the top fantasy QB despite the loss of CeeDee Lamb.

• George Pickens caught his sixth touchdown over the last five games, as he put on a show Sunday. Pickens’ role will decrease when Lamb returns, but he’s been fantasy’s WR1 over the last month.

• Javonte Williams was a fantasy bust, but Carolina’s run defense has been immeasurably better this season.

• Tetairoa McMillan caught the first two touchdowns of his career but finished with season lows in targets, receptions and yards in a highly favorable matchup.

• Bryce Young and the Panthers play far better at home.

• Xavier Legette attempted one of the worst laterals you’ll ever see.

• The Panthers’ offense produced the second-highest success rate in any game this season.
