Each week around here, we curate and prioritize the waiver wire to help you navigate the chaos. Every name below is available in a majority of actively managed fantasy leagues and approved for immediate use.
RUNNING BACKS
Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints
28% rostered at Sleeper
This will merely serve as a reminder that A) there isn’t a player more likely to get traded this year than Alvin Kamara and B) Miller is the clear understudy in New Orleans.
Over the past three weeks, Miller has handled 31 touches, gaining 150 yards and making one house call. Last week’s TD was among the more impressive scoring plays the Saints have produced so far:

Miller is seeing just enough work each week to deserve flex consideration, but, again, we’re adding him because of the likelihood of a Kamara trade. He belongs on someone’s roster in any league with 12 or more teams.
FAAB: 9%
Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal, Los Angeles Chargers
2% and 0% rostered
Yeah, this is gross. I get it. No one feels great about it.
Omarion Hampton suffered a left ankle injury on Sunday and ended the day in a walking boot. He’s going to miss Week 6 against Miami, a gift of a matchup, after being placed on injured reserve. Brutal news.
Haskins is presently the primary backup for the Chargers. He’s the guy who’s been active all season ahead of Vidal (who is probably never gonna be a thing. Sorry.) Both backs will certainly be involved against the Dolphins. I’d prioritize Haskins, but, honestly, this feels like a trap either way.
We can't rule out a trade for a running back, obviously. I'm not getting too aggressive on Haskins, despite the matchup.
