Bo Nix vs. Cincinatti Bengals
Nix has been downright bad (5.6 YPA) to open the season, but he’s faced a difficult schedule. He’s among the QB leaders in designed-rush rate (13%), and Nix also has a healthy scramble rate (7%). He’s attempted four passes + rushes inside the five-yard line over the last two weeks, so Nix is set up to score fantasy points. He gets a Bengals’ defense allowing 2.0 TD passes per game despite facing Joe Flacco, Trevor Lawrence and Carson Wentz. Nix saw his YPA jump by 1.8 and his TD rate more than double when at home as a rookie. Nix is my QB8 this week.
Jordan Love @ Dallas Cowboys
Love is coming off a tough game last week in Cleveland, but the Browns have one of the league’s best defenses. Love is getting 8.5 YPA this season, and he has a favorable matchup indoors Sunday night. The Cowboys are somehow allowing both the most passing yards per game (300.0) and quarterback rush attempts (7.7 per game), leading to the most QB fantasy points ceded. Dallas has let opponents score on the third-highest percentage of drives to open the season, and the Packers have the league’s second highest implied team total (27.5 points) this week. Love is my QB9.
