Jalen Hurts to win MVP (18/1)

Every MVP since 2013 has been a quarterback, and all but three have played for the top seed in their conference. The Eagles lost some pieces, will have a tougher schedule, and it’s not easy having just played into February. But while the Bills, Ravens and Chiefs battle it out in the AFC, Philadelphia still enters clear favorites in the NFC.

Philadelphia had the second-lowest pass rate since 2011 last season, finishing with an NFL-low 448 pass attempts – more than 200 fewer than the Browns and Bengals. Regression is coming, and there’s also a possibility Saquon Barkley suffers an injury coming off 482 touches and entering his eighth year in the league.

A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are both stars, and the Eagles have the best offensive line in football. Hurts has the second-highest odds to lead the NFL in rushing touchdowns (behind only Derrick Henry). There’s some concern with Kellen Moore leaving, but this will be Hurts’ sixth different play caller in six seasons, and it was an in-house promotion (last season’s passing game coordinator). Hurts got 8.0 YPA last year, should see more volume in 2025 and has a good chance at earning his conference’s top seed; 18/1 is too long.
