Let's not pretend the Indianapolis Colts had a clear best path at quarterback.
For Indy, the starting QB in opening week was either going to be a guy who averaged just 11.5 completions per game last year (Anthony Richardson) or a guy who has not thrown more than 15 touchdown passes in any of the past five seasons (Daniel Jones). These choices were terrible — bordering on hopeless.
