Here's a fun fact about quarterbacks: Nineteen of the all-time top-25 individual fantasy scoring seasons at the position have occurred within the past decade. Eighteen of them — including eight of the top-nine — were produced by players who are currently active. Five were delivered by Josh Allen.
So it would be fair to say that fantasy dogma regarding quarterbacks has not held up well in recent years. We are no longer drafting in an environment in which we can identify dead-money managers by their willingness to select QBs inside the opening rounds. These days, it's not uncommon for quarterbacks to emerge as golden-ticket players in fantasy.
In fact, the two names at the top of the 2025 ranks are responsible for the first, fourth, sixth, eighth, ninth and eleventh highest-scoring seasons at QB in fantasy history. There's almost no chance either makes it beyond the third round in your upcoming drafts.
